What is Mantrailing?
Mantrailing is an exciting new dog sport that teaches you and your dog to search and find a “missing person.” The training of a Mantrailing dog focuses on teaching the dog to discriminate between the scent of the target human and multiple other interesting scents also in the environment.
It is completely unique dog training in many ways and can help with a number of unwanted behaviours as it allows the dog to make the right choices independently and will be much more satisfying to them. The dog’s nose dominates its brain so naturally Mantrailing provides mental intellectual stimulation providing an exceptional workout, tiring them out without the need for much physical exercise.

You will learn how to handle that long line and to work as the perfect team. Mantrailing is one of the few sports where the dog can work freely and the handler can enjoy watching their dog work.
The sport is fully accessible to all people and dogs , regardless of age, breed, or disability.
Why should I try?
Mantrailing is a low impact sport which means less pressure on joints, provides physical exercise and engages your dog’s natural ability to work their incredible noses which also gives them an intense mental workout.
Mantrailing UK was started on the basis that all dogs can do this i.e. it’s all inclusive so even if you have a reactive or anxious dog, these sessions can be tailored for them, as each dog works individually, and can help your dog feel more confident.
All breeds can join in from the smallest Chihuahua to the largest Great Dane. Mantrailing allows you to harness your dogs natural ability to sniff. All dogs of all ages can join in from puppies to seniors.
Every dog can excel at Mantrailing and you can learn a new skill together. You don’t need any special pre-training to join in with us, just a dog with a nose for fun!
